This week’s appalling terrorist attacks on two mosques in Christchurch New Zealand have shocked and saddened many across Europe. Many of our members and their communities have condemned this violence and responded in many countries with prayers and peace vigils.

We condemn all acts of violence including acts against all places of worship and all human-kind, regardless of religion or no religion.

ECRL is reminded of its important symbolic role in demonstrating that religions can work together for a more peaceful world, a world where we may all have the right to worship freely and without fear of persecution or violence.
